Who needs to take this course?
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1969, needs hunter education if they will be hunting in Arkansas.
Arkansas does not require bowhunter education. Students may still take a bowhunter education course if they plan on bowhunting in states that require certification.

Registration requirements
Arkansas requires a Customer ID.
Students can locate or create a Customer ID here:

Students must be 13 years old to create an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Customer ID account.
For students ages 10-12, the youth account must be linked to an adult or parent account. The adult or parent can log in to their account, select Linked Users, and link or create the youth account.
Course expiration and extensions
Arkansas hunter education courses expire after 90 days.

Quizzes and final exam
Exam requirements may vary by course option.
Hunter-Ed: Quizzes include 5 questions. Students must score 80% or higher to pass or they must redo the unit. The final exam includes 50 questions, and students must score 80% or higher to pass. Students have 2 attempts or must repeat the course.
Ilearntohunt: Quizzes include 5 questions. Students must score 80% or higher to pass or they must redo the unit. The final exam includes 60 questions, and students must score 80% or higher to pass. Students have 2 attempts or must repeat the course.
Field day requirements
There is no field day requirement for Arkansas.
After completing the course
After completing the Arkansas course, students can immediately print their temporary certificate.
The temporary certificate is valid for 1 year.
The physical card typically arrives in 3-5 weeks.
Bowhunter education
Arkansas does not require bowhunter education.
