Who needs to take this course?
Anyone born after June 30, 1979, needs hunter education to buy a South Carolina hunting license.
South Carolina does not require bowhunter education. Students may still take a bowhunter education course if they plan on bowhunting in states that require certification.

Ilearntohunt: There are no quizzes. Students must score 80% or higher on the final exam. Students have 2 attempts or must retake the entire course.
Field day requirements
There is no Field Day requirement for South Carolina.

After completing the South Carolina course, students can print their temporary certificate.

South Carolina does not require bowhunter education.

The state fee may appear as a subscription fee on the receipt, but it is not a subscription and is not a recurring charge. It is a one-time fee included with the course purchase.
Military exemptions and benefits
Active-duty military members who are stationed in South Carolina for at least 30 days may purchase a resident hunting license.
Active-duty military members who are South Carolina residents but stationed elsewhere are not required to have a hunting license while on leave. However, they must purchase permits and tags to hunt specific game species.
Resident veterans with a disability may be eligible for the Disability Recreational Hunting and Fishing License.
