Who needs to take this course?
You need hunter education if you were born after December 31, 1986, and will be buying a hunting license in Indiana.
Indiana does not offer bowhunter education.

Military exemptions and benefits
Active-duty military members stationed in Indiana may purchase a resident hunting license.
Active-duty military members who are Indiana residents but stationed elsewhere are not required to have a hunting license while on leave.
