Who needs to take this course?
You need hunter education if you were born on or after January 1, 1966, unless you have obtained a Hunter Mentor Program special authorization from the state and are hunting with a mentor.

Registration requirements
There are no additional registration requirements listed for the Wyoming Hunter-Ed course.
Course expiration and extensions
The Wyoming Hunter-Ed course expires after 90 days.
Extensions are available for the following course option:

Quizzes and final exam
Hunter-Ed: Quizzes include 5-15 questions. Students must score 80% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited quiz attempts.
There is no final exam in the online course because Field Day is required.
Field day requirements
Wyoming requires all students to attend the Internet Field Day to complete hunter safety certification.
After passing the online course, students can immediately print their Internet Completion Course Voucher. This voucher is proof of online course completion.
The voucher is valid for 365 days.

Important: Students who take the Wyoming online course must take the Wyoming Internet Completion Course. Students who completed an online course from a different state will not be allowed to take a Wyoming Internet Completion Course.
After completing the course
After passing and paying for the online course, students can immediately print their Internet Completion Course Voucher or request that a PDF be emailed to them.
After completing all certification requirements, the Hunter Education Card will be available to print from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department website within 2 weeks.
Military exemptions and benefits
Active-duty military members who are permanently stationed in Wyoming may purchase a resident hunting license if they have lived in Wyoming for at least 90 days.
Active-duty military members who are Wyoming residents and deployed to a combat zone may be eligible to receive free licenses while on leave. They are not required to purchase the Conservation Stamp.
Resident veterans who have 100% disability may be eligible for the free One Hundred Percent Disabled Veteran Bird, Fish, and Small Game License. They are not required to purchase the Conservation Stamp.
