Quizzes and final exam
Exam requirements may vary by course option.
HunterCourse: Quizzes include 10 questions. Students must score 80% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited attempts. The final exam includes 75 questions, and students must score 75% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited attempts.
Hunter-Ed: Quizzes include 5-15 questions. Students must score 60% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited attempts. The final exam includes 50 questions, and students must score 75% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited attempts.
Ilearntohunt: Quizzes include 5-15 questions. Students must score 60% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited attempts. The final exam includes 50 questions, and students must score 75% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited attempts.
HuntingSmart: Students must score 80% or higher on quizzes and 75% or higher on the exam.
HunterEdCourse: Quizzes include 5 questions. Students must score 70% or higher to pass or redo the unit. The final exam includes 50 questions, and students must score 80% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited attempts.
Field day requirements
Youth students 16 and under must print their voucher and complete the Field Day.

After completing the course
Adult students 17 and older can get their certificate from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department website.
Students should click Am I Certified? and complete the required fields.
Youth students will receive their certificate by email after completing Field Day.
Military exemptions and benefits
Active-duty military members stationed anywhere may purchase a resident hunting license.
Active-duty military members who are Texas residents may be eligible for the free Texas Resident Active-Duty Military “Super Combo” License and the free Texas Resident Active-Duty Military Hunting Package while on leave.
Veterans, Texas residents and non-residents, who have a service-connected disability may be eligible for the free Disabled Veteran “Super Combo” License. Disabilities include loss of use of a limb or a disability rating of 50% or more.

Replacement certificates are handled through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department website.
