Who needs to take this course?
You need hunter education to hunt in Kansas if you were born on or after July 1, 1957, and are 16 years old or older.
Kansas does not require bowhunter education. Students may still take a bowhunter education course if they plan on bowhunting in states that require certification.

Registration requirements

Hunter-Ed: Students must score 80% or higher on the final exam to pass.
Field day requirements
A Field Day is not required for students who are 16 years old or older and complete the approved online course.
Students who are under 16 years old may need to complete a Traditional or Internet-Assisted course and should follow Kansas hunter education instructions for youth students.
After completing the course
After completing the Kansas Hunter-Ed course, students can print their hunter education card at the end of the course.
Bowhunter education
Kansas does not require bowhunter education.
