Who needs to take this course?
You need hunter education if you were born on or after January 1, 1960, and will buy a hunting license in Michigan.
Bowhunter education is available in Michigan, but it is not mandatory.

Michigan hunter education courses expire after 90 days.

Quizzes and final exam
Exam requirements may vary by course option.
Hunter-Ed: Quizzes include 5-15 questions. Students must score 80% or higher to pass. Students have unlimited quiz attempts. There is no final exam in the online course because Field Day is required.

Field day requirements
Michigan requires a Field Day.
Students must pass the online course and attend the Field Day to complete hunter safety certification.
The Field Day voucher is valid for 365 days.

After completing the course
After completing the online course, students can immediately print their Field Day voucher.
Students must bring the voucher to their Field Day to complete certification.
Bowhunter education
Bowhunter education is available in Michigan, but it is not mandatory.
